On July 26, news broke that MediaTek and its subsidiaries HFl Innovation and MTK Wireless are suing Huawei in the UK courts for infringing the company's patents.
In response to the news that the case had entered the judicial process, MediaTek said no comment, while Huawei did not respond publicly.
On Friday, MediaTek had issued a clarification announcement on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, confirming that Huawei was filing a related patent lawsuit against the company.
