Trump Organization withdraws commitment to make mobile phones in America
Internet reports that recently, the Trump Organization, owned by US President Trump, quietly withdrew its statement that its smartphones would be "made in the United States." After promising last week that its products would be made in the United States, the mobile network company launched by the Trump Organization has now changed the content of its website, replacing them with broad and vague statements, saying the $499 smartphone will be "designed based on American values" and "born in the United States." The statement that T1 phones would begin shipping in August was also deleted. The website now says it will be released "later this year." According to the Financial Times, Trump Mobile did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The company has previously said production will take place in Alabama, California and Florida.
