The Tema conflict continues to ferment the dominance of SpaceX or Lost Golden Dome program

Internet reports that according to three people familiar with the matter, the Trump administration is expanding its search for partners to build the "Golden Dome" missile defense system, courting Amazon's Kuiper project and large defense contractors. Tensions between Trump and Musk threaten SpaceX's dominance in the plan. The shift marks a shift away from the Trump administration's reliance on Musk's SpaceX company, whose Starlink and Starshield satellite networks have become the core of U.S. military communications. The relationship between Trump and Musk was deteriorating and eventually fell out publicly on June 5. Even before the dispute, Pentagon and White House officials had begun exploring alternatives to SpaceX, worried about relying too much on a single partner to carry out most of the tasks of the $175 billion space-based defense system, two sources said.
