Cosine of slow fog: Be wary of recent phishing attacks against X platform users
According to online reports, Slow Fog Cosine posted on social media saying that there have been a large number of phishing email attacks targeting platform X users recently. These emails are themed "New log into X From XXX" and can bypass Gmail's spam filtering system. By forging abnormal login notifications for accounts, the attacker induced users to click the "Change your password" or "Review the apps" link, and actually directed users to X's official third-party application authorization page. Once authorized by the user, the attacker will gain the right to post and forward tweets, and can control the content posted by his account without the user's knowledge. Users must be vigilant and handle any email notification claiming that the X account is logged in abnormally, and avoid randomly clicking on links in the email and authorizing applications.
