Internet reports that the federal government of Pakistan has established the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA) to supervise the country's digital asset industry. PVARA will serve as an independent regulatory authority responsible for licensing, supervising and managing virtual asset service providers while ensuring compliance with international standards, including compliance with relevant Financial Action Task Force (FATF) guidelines.
