U.S. Department of Justice asks court to extend suspension period for Trump's tariff invalidation decision

The Internet reported that the U.S. Department of Justice asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Monday to extend the suspension period of a previous tariff invalidation decision made by a lower court on May 28. The government said the ruling undermined the president's ability to conduct foreign policy. The Federal Circuit Court can now decide at any time whether to suspend the order during an appeal process, which could last for months. The U.S. government also said it would appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court if the appeals court lifted the current suspension.
