EU plans to impose new taxes on large companies to expand trillion-dollar budget pool

According to online reports, according to the British "Financial Times", the European Commission's draft proposal shows that the Brussels authorities plan to impose a so-called "European corporate resource tax" on large companies operating in Europe, aiming to create an independent source of revenue for the EU common budget of more than 1 trillion euros. The tax reform plan, which will be announced next week, must be unanimously approved by member states before it can take effect. Its tax targets cover all companies with an annual net turnover of more than 50 million euros, regardless of the location of the company's headquarters. According to the draft design, the annual tax will adopt a "step-by-step" collection mechanism to impose a heavier tax burden on enterprise groups with higher net income.
