British judge issued a comprehensive injunction against Craig Wright, saying it brought legal "dilemmas" to the Bitcoin community

Internet reported that British High Court Judge Edward Mellor issued a comprehensive injunction against Craig Wright, a computer scientist who called himself "Satoshi Nakamoto", prohibiting him from continuing to file defamation proceedings. In the May 12 ruling, Judge Mellor pointed out that Wright's repeated false statements and aggressive litigation have brought legal "dilemmas" to individuals and developers in the Bitcoin community, and also attempted to "weaponize the legal system" to intimidate critics. Their lawsuits are often based on falsifying evidence, forcing others to spend a lot of time and money on legal defense. Previously, in 2021, the Cryptography Open Patent Alliance (COPA) sued Wright for long-term false claims to be the inventor of Bitcoin. In March last year, a British court ruled that he had nothing to do with Bitcoin creation, and in December he was suspended for one year for contempt of court. The injunction marks the end of a nearly decade-old legal farce. Wright has also filed defamation lawsuits against Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and others.
