Citigroup postponed expected European Central Bank interest rate cuts and now expects to cut interest rates in September

According to online reports, Citi expects the European Central Bank to keep interest rates unchanged this month and will cut interest rates in September, having previously expected to cut interest rates at next week's meeting. Citi strategists said in the report that they continue to predict that the European Central Bank will cut interest rates twice during the year, but the timing has been adjusted to September and December instead of July and September as previously expected. LSEG data shows that the euro zone money market currently has a low expectation of a rate cut before December. (Jin Shi)
