According to online reports, Cointelegraph disclosed that Circle has submitted an application to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to establish the first digital currency bank in the United States. The bank will focus on USDC trust functions, reserve management and institutional custody services rather than traditional banking services.
