Iran says nuclear talks with the United States are 'meaningless'

Iran said talks with the United States on its nuclear program were "meaningless" after Israel launched its largest-ever military strike against Iran and accused Washington of supporting the attack, Internet reported. "The behavior of the other party (the United States) makes the dialogue meaningless." "You cannot demand negotiations while allowing the Zionist regime (Israel) to attack Iranian territory," Tasnim News Agency quoted Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bagae as saying. He said Israel had "successfully influenced" the diplomatic process and that the Israeli attack would not have occurred without Washington's permission. Iran had earlier accused the United States of participating in the Israeli attack, but Washington denied the accusation and told Tehran at the U.N. Security Council that it was "wise" to negotiate on the nuclear program. (Jin Shi)
