US SEC Chairman: Suggest a more open attitude towards self-custody of crypto assets
Internet reported that Paul Atkins, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), said at a roundtable meeting of the Cryptocurrency Task Force titled "DeFi and the American Spirit" on Monday that he recommended a more open attitude towards self-custody of cryptoassets. Paul Atkins said: "I support giving market participants greater flexibility to keep their own crypto-assets, especially if intermediaries impose unnecessary transaction costs or restrict participation in pledges and other on-chain activities."
