South Korea Woori Bank applies for a stablecoin trademark, involving cryptocurrency business
According to online reports, according to news from the Korea Intellectual Property Office on July 9, Woori Bank, one of South Korea's top five commercial banks, applied for 12 stablecoin trademarks including "WKRW","KRWOORI","WONKR" and "CKRW" on July 7, involving cryptocurrency financial transaction business, cryptocurrency electronic transfer business, etc. So far, all five major financial holding companies in South Korea have held stablecoin trademarks at the affiliated company or holding company level.
