Nomura: The US dollar may weaken further due to the fading of US exceptionalism and other factors "

According to online reports, Nomura Securities research analysts said in a research report that the US dollar may weaken further as U.S. exceptionalism is fading and is expected to persist until the second half of next year. Analysts said other factors include the impact of U.S. fiscal and current account concerns, asset reallocations and foreign exchange hedging, and uncertainty about Trump's tariff and non-tariff policies. Analysts said: "Asian trade agreements may include the appreciation of undervalued currencies, possible return of foreign investment and foreign exchange hedging, which together support our firmer view of shorting the U.S. dollar against the Korean won." They added that the dollar could fall to 1300 against the won in coming months. (Jin Shi)
