NVIDIA, OpenAI enter web browsers together
Nvida-backed Perplexity AI said on Wednesday that it has launched Comet, a new browser with artificial intelligence search capabilities, hoping to challenge the dominance of market leader Google, the Internet reported. This marks the entry of Perplexity AI into the highly competitive browser market, aiming to replace traditional Internet browsing methods with agent AI that can represent users 'thinking, actions and decisions. On the same day, there were reports that OpenAI also planned to launch an artificial intelligence web browser. Data from StatCounter shows that in June this year, Chrome accounted for 68% of the global browser market, consolidating its position as the most widely used browser in the world.
