The US dollar index fell by about 2.2% in August

Internet reports that in late New York on Friday (August 29), the ICE-dollar index fell 0.02% to 97.792 points. The PCE inflation data favored by the Federal Reserve once rose to 98.134 points after the release, and then quickly fell. The cumulative decline in August was 2.18%. On August 1, it plunged significantly from 100.257 points (the top of the month), and then continued to fluctuate at a low level. There was another significant wave of 5 dives on the 22nd-breaking the lowest level in the month to 97.556 points. The Bloomberg U.S. dollar index was roughly flat at 1,201.12 points. It fell 1.67% in August. The overall trading range was 1,224.64 - 1,98.45 points, reaching its lowest level in the month on August 13.
