A series of recent unrest, including the government's aggressive deportation plan and the U.S. bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities, has neither weakened nor improved the general public's perception of Trump. About 46% expressed satisfaction with his job performance, unchanged from April, and 52% expressed dissatisfaction. About 47% of people in the survey rated the economy as excellent or good, a sharp jump of 11 percentage points from April and the most positive assessment in the Wall Street Journal survey since 2021. About 51 percent of voters believe the economy is bad or bad, compared with 63 percent in April.
