South Korean actress Hwang Zhengyin faces public condemnation for embezzling $3 million to buy cryptocurrency
Internet reports that South Korean actress Wong Zheng-yin has been edited out of the final episode of the SBS Plus reality show "Single Is Hell" after admitting to embezzling US$3.1 million (approximately 4.34 billion won) from her company to invest in cryptocurrency. "Huang Zhengyin's video clip will not appear in the final episode that will be aired at 8:30 tonight," the production team said on Tuesday, according to local media reports,"Her comments as a host will also be minimized." Earlier, Huang Zhengyin testified in the Jeju District Court last Thursday, admitting that she had embezzled approximately US$3 million (approximately 4.2 billion won) from the family-run institution she wholly owned to purchase cryptocurrency. South Korean prosecutors filed charges against her under the Korean Aggravated Punishment Law for Certain Economic Crimes.
