Bybit removed from French AMF blacklist, seeks MiCA license
On February 14, Cointelegraph reported that Bybit has been removed from the blacklist since it was blacklisted by the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) in May 2022 for "non-compliance" with local rules. It has been confirmed that Bybit no longer appears on the AMF blacklist of "Unauthorized Companies and Websites". Bybit CEO Ben Zhou announced on February 14 that the exchange has been working with French regulators for more than two years on rectification and is currently seeking to obtain a European Union's Cryptographic Asset Markets Regulation (MiCA) license. However, the exchange faces more regulatory obstacles overseas. Malaysia's securities regulator ordered it to cease operations, while regulatory pressure forced the exchange to suspend services in India.
