Geely Galaxy will begin pre-sales of its six-seat hybrid SUV (sport utility vehicle) model M9 on August 23, targeting the large SUV market.
The Geely Auto (HKG: 0175) sub-brand announced the plan today, saying that a pre-sales event will be held in Shanghai.

Geely Auto and Chinese AI startup StepFun unveiled the next-generation intelligent cockpit Agent OS at the 2025 World AI Conference in Shanghai last month, calling it the industry's first AI-powered car cockpit.
The M9 would be the first model to feature Agent OS and would be the first in the industry to use end-to-end voice large language models in a production vehicle, StepFun said at the time.
Agent OS is based on StepFun's Step-Audio end-to-end voice large language model, which can provide a more natural, more knowledgeable, and more emotional new cockpit interaction experience, the AI company said.
Geely Galaxy gave the M9 its global debut on May 22 in Milan, Italy. The model is based on Geely's Geely Electric Architecture (GEA) and uses the new-generation Leishen EM super hybrid system.
The hybrid SUV has a combined range of over 1,500 kilometers and fuel consumption of 4.8 liters per 100 kilometers when the battery is low.
It has a strong powertrain that can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.5 seconds.
The M9 will be equipped with the G-Pilot H5 driver assistance system, which is the mid-range option of Geely's G-Pilot solution.
The model is expected to compete with other hybrid vehicles such as the Aito M9, Denza N9, and Li Auto's Li L9.
Geely Galaxy saw strong sales growth this year, selling 643,451 vehicles in January-July, up 253.77 percent year-on-year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
