Online reports that Ethereum core developer timbeiko.eth issued a post on the X platform saying that for pledgers, Pectra will introduce a function to increase the effective balance of the verifier. This means that small operators can directly pledge value-added, while large operators can integrate verifiers to reduce the bandwidth consumption of p2p networks. This feature also eliminates the PoW following distance before the merger and shortens the delay in processing verifier deposits., and introduces withdrawals that can be triggered by the execution layer, thereby achieving a more trust-free equity structure. It was previously reported that the Ethereum main network will implement a Pectra upgrade on May 7.
