According to online reports, Ripple announced at the APEX 2025 conference in Singapore that XRP Ledger (XRPL)'s EVM-compatible sidechains will be officially launched in Q2. The sidechain test network has grown rapidly since it was launched at the beginning of the year. Data from development company Peersyst shows that 87 new entities have participated in ecological construction, covering areas such as infrastructure, application development and user growth. EVM compatibility will allow the sidechain to seamlessly run Ethereum-based decentralized applications and smart contracts. After the main network is launched, users can realize revenue through DeFi applications such as mobility pools.
