Federal Reserve's Beige Book: Economic activity is stable, but uncertainty has caused significant deterioration in prospects in several regions
According to online reports, the Federal Reserve's Beige Book pointed out that prices in the United States have risen, and economic activity and employment in most parts of the United States have remained almost unchanged since March. The report reflects some of the early effects of U.S. President Trump's erratic introduction of comprehensive tariffs aimed at reshaping global trade. "Uncertainty about international trade policies is widespread in the report. As economic uncertainty, especially around tariffs, rises, prospects in several regions have deteriorated significantly."
