Internet reports that on July 20 local time, Japan will hold a vote in the Senate election. Except for some areas, voting hours are from 7:00 to 20:00 local time. The nominal number of seats in the Japanese Senate is 248. Senators serve for a six-year term, with half of the seats elected every three years. This Senate election will be contested around the 124 seats re-elected and one seat in the Tokyo constituency by-election, totaling 125 seats. The total number of non-reelected senators from the ruling Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito Party is 75.
