Chorus One: Hacking of Lido Oracle is an isolated incident with limited impact
Internet reports that the hot wallet managed by Chorus One for Lido oracle voting was accessed by unauthorized entities, resulting in the transfer of 1.46 ETH. Our team has been working tirelessly and interfacing with LidoFinance to investigate this incident. As a result, the wallet is accepting a DAO vote to remove it from the oracle set and replace it with a new, security-generated address. Our preliminary investigation results indicate that this was an isolated incident with limited impact. The affected hot wallet dates back to 2021 and was originally designed to maintain a low balance to run the Lido Oracle. As a result, it does not adhere to the strict security standards applicable to other keys managed by Chorus One.
