Trump wants to "cut" with SpaceX, but review finds it indispensable
According to the Internet, according to the Wall Street Journal, sources said that just days after Trump proposed the possibility of cutting off business ties with Musk's companies in early June, the government began reviewing SpaceX's contract with the federal government. But officials believe it is impossible to cancel most contracts because they are crucial to the Department of Defense and NASA. After Musk escalated his personal attack on June 5, Trump claimed that the easiest way to save federal funds was to "terminate" Musk's corporate contract. A few days later, a senior Federal General Services Administration official asked the Department of Defense, NASA and other federal agencies to fill out a spreadsheet listing all contracts and other transaction agreements they currently have with SpaceX. After reviewing the data, White House and agency officials, including the Pentagon, determined that most contracts were critical to the Department of Defense and NASA. People familiar with the matter said some SpaceX contracts may continue to come under review. (Jin Shi)
