Agricultural company AgriFORCE uses natural gas to power 120 cryptocurrency miners
Canadian agricultural company AgriFORCE Growing Systems Ltd. has launched a plan to use abandoned natural gas to power 120 Bitcoin miners, and the company said it plans to further expand the project, the Internet reported. The project is located in Bovine, Alberta and was launched in partnership with energy provider BlueFlare Energy. AgriFORCE said on Tuesday that the site is supplied with 425 kilowatts (kW) of electricity and can achieve computing power of 32 beats of hash per second (PH/s). The site will use so-called "abandoned natural gas," which is natural gas that cannot immediately reach the market due to uneconomical extraction or cannot be physically extracted through existing equipment.
