Anthropic seeks to increase its valuation to more than $150 billion

Online reports that artificial intelligence startup Anthropic is in preliminary talks to more than double its valuation to more than $150 billion in a new round of financing, giving it more firepower and keeping pace with competitors building advanced artificial intelligence models. According to four people familiar with the matter, Anthropic, a competitor to Sam Ultraman's OpenAI, is in the early stages of financing negotiations with investors, and some investors have expressed interest in valuing the company at more than US$150 billion., a significant jump from Anthropic's current US$61.5 billion valuation. Two people familiar with the matter said final terms had not yet been determined, but the four-year-old company was expected to raise at least $3 billion, adding that the round could be as high as $5 billion.
