EU: Digital-related legislation not included in trade negotiations with the United States "

According to online reports, European Commission Spokesperson Thomas Rainier emphasized on the 30th that the EU's Digital Markets Law and Digital Services Law are not among the topics of trade negotiations between the EU and the United States. The United States has repeatedly accused the EU of "unfair" digital legislation and asked the EU to relax its supervision of American technology giants. In April this year, the European Commission found that Apple and Metaverse Platform of the United States violated the EU Digital Market Law and imposed huge fines on the two companies respectively. Marosh Shevcovic, member of the Alliance Commission in charge of trade and economic security, said on the same day that he would travel to Washington, the capital of the United States, on July 1 to meet with US trade officials to continue to promote a trade agreement between the two sides.
