North Korea launches new information-stealing malware "PylangGhost" against cryptocurrency practitioners

A North Korea-related cyber threat actor is using new malware to target job seekers in the cryptocurrency industry, which aims to steal passwords from cryptocurrency wallets and password managers, Internet reports. Cisco Talos reported on Wednesday that it had discovered a Python-based remote access Trojan (RAT) named "PylangGhost" and linked the malware to a North Korean-affiliated hacking group called "Famous Chollima"(also known as "Wagemole"). The hacking group mainly targets job seekers and employees with experience in cryptocurrencies and blockchain, especially in India, where fake job interview activities are carried out through social engineering.
