Gemini and Coinbase may receive licenses to operate in Malta and Luxembourg respectively
Internet reports that the world's two largest cryptocurrency companies are about to receive licenses to operate across the European Union, while regulators are increasingly divided over the speed and strictness of approvals in some countries. Under the EU's New Crypto Asset Market (MiCA) regulations, member states can issue licenses allowing crypto companies to operate within the 27 EU member states. Gemini is about to receive approval from Malta, and Coinbase is about to receive approval from Luxembourg.
