Li Auto Aug deliveries plunge 41%, pins hopes on Sept launch of i6 SUV

Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) experienced another sharp drop in monthly deliveries as several major peers like Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO) reported record-high figures.
The company delivered 28,529 vehicles in August, down 40.72 percent year-on-year, marking its third consecutive month of sharp declines and a 7.17 percent decrease from July, according to data released today.
From January to August, Li Auto delivered 263,198 vehicles, representing an 8.64 percent year-on-year decrease.
Cumulative deliveries since the company's founding totaled 1,397,070 units by the end of August.
Amid the delivery decline, Li Auto is pinning hopes on its upcoming Li i6 electric SUV, set for official launch next month.
Li Auto will roll out the Li i6 in September with a price range of about RMB 250,000 ($35,040) to RMB 300,000, the company announced today.
