Internet reports that Chevcovic, Commissioner of the European Commission in charge of trade and economic security, said on June 30 that he would travel to Washington on July 1 for trade negotiations. U.S. President Trump threatened on May 23 to impose a 50% tariff on goods imported from the EU starting June 1.
