AI editor Cursor completes US$900 million in financing, a16z participates in the investment "

On May 6, according to the Financial Times, Anysphere, the company behind AI code editor Cursor, had just completed a round of US$900 million in financing led by Thrive Capital, with a valuation of US$9 billion. This round attracted participation from top venture capital institutions, including a16z and Accel. Cryptocurrency exchange FTX was once a seed round investor in Cursor, but after FTX's bankruptcy and liquidation, its liquidation team sold its shares in Cursor for US$200,000, and the value of these shares has now soared to about US$500 million.
