Amazon acquires AI wearable device maker Bee
Online reports say Amazon (AMZN.O) has acquired startup Bee, which makes a $50 wearable artificial intelligence assistant. Lourdes Zorro, co-founder of the San Francisco startup, announced the acquisition in a brief post on LinkedIn. A bracelet developed by Bee can record and transcribe user activities, using this information to generate to-do lists and summarize conversations. Amazon spokeswoman Alexandra Miller said all Bee employees received invitations to join Amazon as part of the agreement.
