US Treasury Department: Foreign investors buy $6.502 billion worth of 7-year US bonds
According to online reports, U.S. Treasury Department data showed that during the latest bi-weekly reporting period, foreign investors purchased $6.502 billion worth of 7-year U.S. bonds, compared with $4.670 billion last month; investment funds purchased $33.491 billion worth of 7-year U.S. bonds, compared with $31.438 billion last month. Foreign investors purchased $7.334 billion in 5-year U.S. bonds, compared with $7.804 billion last month; investment funds purchased $54.515 billion in 5-year U.S. bonds, compared with $50.110 billion last month. Foreign investors purchased US$5.938 billion in 2-year U.S. bonds, compared with US$6.618 billion last month; investment funds purchased US$53.564 billion in 2-year U.S. bonds, compared with US$50.964 billion last month.
