A U.S. federal jury found SafeMoon CEO Braden Karony guilty of all charges in a cryptocurrency fraud case that prosecutors say led to the misappropriation of millions of dollars in investor funds. After a 12-day trial by U.S. District Judge Eric R.Komitee for the Eastern District of New York, Caroni was convicted of conspiracy to commit securities fraud, wire fraud and money laundering. After sentencing, he faces up to 45 years in prison. The jury also ordered forfeiture of proceeds from the sale of one residential property and another, totaling about $2 million.
