NATO Secretary General Rutte will meet with US President Trump in Washington next week

Internet reports that NATO said in a press release that NATO Secretary General Rutte will visit Washington, D.C., on Monday, July 14, and Tuesday, July 15. He will meet with U.S. President Trump, U.S. Secretary of State Rubio and Defense Secretary Hagerses. The press release did not immediately explain why Rutte was visiting the United States, but Trump recently said the United States is willing to provide weapons to Ukraine through NATO, and he will make a "major statement" on Monday. So far, the Trump administration has only delivered weapons to Ukraine authorized by former President Biden, a staunch supporter of Kiev. (Jin Shi)
