Completing the mission means destroying Fordo." On Wednesday, a senior intelligence source and defense official said Trump approved a planned attack on Iran on Tuesday night but had not yet made a final decision on whether to attack the country and formally join Israel's air strikes. Sources said Trump was willing to involve the United States in the strike if that was what was needed to destroy the facility. As of Thursday morning, he was still considering his options and had not made a clear decision. Sources said one option Trump considered was for Iran to shut down Fordo itself if Iranian leaders wanted.
