Internet reports that Erica Williams, chairman of the U.S. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), resigned after Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Paul Atkins asked her to resign. According to an email sent by Williams to PCAOB employees, her last workday will be July 22. Williams will serve as PCAOB chairman in January 2022 and will be reappointed in June 2024.
