Trump's "bargaining tool": Nvidia will sell 18,000 latest AI chips to Saudi Arabia

Internet reports that Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun announced on Tuesday that Nvidia will sell more than 18,000 of the latest artificial intelligence chips to Saudi company Humain. According to a joint Saudi-U.S. statement, Nvidia's advanced Blackwell chips will be used in a 500-megawatt data center in Saudi Arabia. Nvidia said its first deployment will use its GB300 Blackwell chip, one of Nvidia's most advanced artificial intelligence chips currently available, and was only officially announced earlier this year. Tuesday's statement emphasized the importance of Nvidia chips as a bargaining tool for the Trump administration, as countries around the world compete to purchase them for training and deploying advanced artificial intelligence software such as ChatGPT.
