U.S. initial jobless claims fell to a six-week low last week."

Online reported that the U.S. Department of Labor released data on Thursday showing that in the week ending June 28, seasonally adjusted initial jobless claims fell 4000 to 233,000, setting a six-week low since mid-May, lower than economists 'forecast of 240,000. However, the total number of people claiming unemployment benefits for the week ending June 21 remained at a high of 1.964 million, the highest level since the fall of 2021. (Jin Shi)
