Trump sends another tariff letter to eight countries, Brazil faces 50% tariff
According to online reports, on July 9 local time, U.S. President Trump successively released letters to leaders of eight countries on the social media platform "Real Social" on the increase in tariffs, including: Brazil, Philippines, Brunei, Moldova, Algeria, Iraq, Libya and Sri Lanka. Among them, Trump said he would impose a 50% tariff on Brazil, 30% on Libya, Iraq, Algeria and Sri Lanka, 25% on Brunei and Moldova and 20% on the Philippines. The new tax rate will take effect from August 1. Trump has sent tariff letters to 22 countries.
