Internet reports that Slow Fog CISO@im23pds tweeted a warning to be wary of what is disguised as an official cold wallet encryption lottery scam. Criminals pretended to be official accounts on platform X, claiming to give away cold wallets such as Ledger for free, and actually sent out "brand new sealed" real equipment to induce users to relax their vigilance. The real pitfalls are often hidden in the device itself or the accompanying initialization instructions, which may be tampering with the device or inducing users to leak mnemonic words through social engineering.
