The ET5 Touring once again saw its delivery volume surpass that of the ES6 SUV (sport utility vehicle) last month, marking a dynamic shift in the product lineup of Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO).

The ET5 Touring delivered 4,418 units in July, maintaining its position as the Nio brand model with the highest monthly delivery volume, despite a year-on-year decrease of 13.59 percent and a month-on-month decrease of 13.42 percent, according to data compiled by CnEVPost from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

The ES6 delivered 3,359 units in July, the second-highest Nio brand model in terms of monthly deliveries, down 58.59 percent year-on-year and down 23.92 percent month-on-month.

This marks the second consecutive month that the ET5 Touring has surpassed the ES6 in monthly deliveries, as Nio's best-selling model over the past few years saw its third consecutive month of sequential decline.

Since deliveries began in June 2019, the ES6 has been Nio's best-selling model in most months over the past few years, except for January 2021 when it was surpassed by the newly launched EC6 coupe SUV and for June 2019 when it began deliveries.

The standard ET5 sedan delivered 1,480 units in July, making it the third-highest delivering Nio model in July, down 44.61 percent year-on-year and down 9.87 percent month-on-month.

The EC6 coupe SUV delivered 1,425 units in July, down 45.59 percent year-on-year and down 26.24 percent month-on-month.

The ES8 SUV delivered 1,090 units in July, marking a new high since January 2024, with a year-on-year increase of 32.60 percent and a month-on-month increase of 29.92 percent.

Nio will unveil the new ES8 later this month, with the official launch scheduled for Nio Day 2025 in September.

The company has not yet announced the date for the new ES8's debut event, though some automotive bloggers have previously suggested it will take place on August 20.

The ET7 sedan delivered 564 units in July, down 24.70 percent year-on-year while up 108.12 percent month-on-month.

The EC7 coupe SUV delivered 254 units in July, down 3.05 percent year-on-year while up 202.38 percent month-on-month.

Nio's executive flagship sedan, the ET9, delivered 85 units in July, down 72.31 percent from 307 units in June.

The ET9 is Nio's most expensive model, with a starting price of RMB 788,000 ($109,740) including the battery pack, and is primarily aimed at enhancing the company's brand image.

The ES7 SUV did not make any deliveries in July, the same as in June.

The decline in deliveries of most Nio-brand models was reflected in Nio Inc's July delivery figures.

The company delivered 21,017 vehicles in July, up 2.53 percent year-on-year, but down 15.68 percent from June.

The Nio main brand delivered 12,675 vehicles in July, down 38.16 percent year-on-year and down 13.14 percent from June.

The Onvo sub-brand delivered 5,976 vehicles in July, a decrease of 6.63 percent from June. Firefly delivered 2,366 vehicles in July, a decrease of 39.83 percent from June.

Onvo and Firefly each had only one model available for delivery in July, the Onvo L60 SUV and the Firefly EV, respectively.

Onvo officially launched its second model, the L90, on July 31 and began deliveries of the large SUV on August 1.

Firefly will begin deliveries in Norway and the Netherlands on August 14.
