Zeekr launches 7X SUV in Australia, expanding its local offering to 3 models

Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) has launched the Zeekr 7X electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) in Australia, expanding its lineup there to three models following the Zeekr X and Zeekr 009.
The Zeekr 7X has begun pre-sales in Australia, offering three variants -- RWD, Long Range RWD, and Performance AWD -- with starting prices of AUD 57,900, AUD 63,900, and AUD 72,900, respectively, Zeekr said today.
The model has a cruising range of 480 kilometers to 615 kilometers and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6 seconds or 3.8 seconds, according to information on the Zeekr Australia website.
The Zeekr 7X was launched in China on September 20, 2024, marking Zeekr's second model targeting the mainstream electric vehicle (EV) market following the Zeekr 007 sedan.
It is available in China in three variants, with starting prices of RMB 229,900 ($32,000), RMB 249,900, and RMB 269,900.
On December 16, 2024, Zeekr announced that the Zeekr 7X had begun pre-sales in Europe and was accepting orders in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway.
On May 19, Zeekr announced that the first deliveries of the Zeekr 7X in Europe took place in Bergen, Norway.
At the end of June, the Chinese EV maker launched the Zeekr 7X in Hong Kong.
Zeekr entered the Australian market in October 2024 with the launch of the Zeekr X compact EV.
The company also debuted the Zeekr 009 in Australia at the time, with the MPVgoing on sale there in November last year.
The Zeekr brand delivered 16,977 vehicles in July, marking an 8.44 percent year-on-year increase and a 1.65 percent rise from June, according to data released earlier this month.
The Zeekr 7X was the brand's best-selling model in July, with 6,922 units delivered, accounting for 40.77 percent of Zeekr's total sales, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
