Internet reports that on July 7 local time, Iranian President Pezehezyan claimed in an interview with American media person Tucker Carlson that Israel had tried to assassinate him during the 12-day conflict between the two countries last month. Responding to a question about whether he believed Israel had tried to assassinate him, Pezehziyan said Israel "did try and took corresponding actions" but "failed." Pezehizyan said that the person behind the plan to assassinate him was not the United States, but Israel. Israel launched an attack on targets in Iran on June 13, and Iran subsequently responded. After the conflict broke out, the two sides launched multiple rounds of mutual attacks. This round of conflicts has killed senior Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists. Israel has currently no response.
