New York Fed survey: Artificial intelligence has little impact on employment "

According to online reports, a New York Fed survey showed that the penetration rate of artificial intelligence among companies surveyed is increasing, but so far it has had little impact on employment. In the past year, 40% of service companies and 26% of manufacturing companies used AI, up from 25% and 16%. Most companies report that they are choosing to retrain employees rather than lay off employees. Looking ahead, nearly half of service industry companies and one-third of manufacturers plan to adopt AI soon. However, the New York Fed warned that future consolidation could lead to more layoffs and fewer hiring, especially in high-paying positions.
