Hamas officials say ceasefire talks have made no progress

Internet reported that a senior official of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) who declined to be named said that no progress had been made in ceasefire negotiations in Qatar. The official said Israel insisted on reaching a partial agreement to release some of the detainees, but did not commit to ending the war. Hamas, on the other hand, believes that it will release the remaining Israeli detainees only if more Palestinian prisoners are released, a lasting ceasefire and the Israeli army withdraws from the Gaza Strip.
