After investigation, this false information originally originated from a post on the social account Basedkarbon on October 28. The message was subsequently forwarded by multiple well-known cryptocurrency social accounts, including Kraken and Bitcoin Archive. Trump did raise the idea of abolishing federal income taxes in a recent interview with Joe Rogan's podcast, but did not touch on the topic of digital assets.
